Over thirty club members enjoyed a wonderful holiday get together at the home of Nancy Hughes on December 13 in West Chicago, IL. Many members learned what their borders really think by visiting with Jan Gilligan, Animal Communicator. Wetnoze Photography captured expert portraits of many BT's and their owners. Other activities included BT's bobbing for hotdogs, a game of "Do You Know Your Dog?" and a fundraising raffle, which earned the club over $150. Another delicious potluck was enjoyed by all! A special thank you to party organizers Justine Erickson and Tisha Teeluck, as well as Nancy Hughes, for generously opening up her home to the GLBTC. One highlight of the party was the presentation of a check for over $1000 donated by club members to help Beth Greenaway pay for Fizz's very costly emergency surgery. (See Beth's thank you, left.)

This year, the GLBTC is organizing BTCA Supported Entries to be held on Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28 at the International Kennel Club Show in Chicago, IL. In addition, we are hosting a Puppy Sweepstakes on Saturday, which will be judged by long time border terrier enthusiast, Nancy Hughes. We will also offer prizes for Obedience, Rally, and Agility. At this time, we are looking for trophy sponsors and ask for your support. Seeking Tracking Chair
for 2012 Nat'l Specialty
2012 National Specialty Message from Laurale Stern, Chair:
We have received a couple of requests to offer tracking at our 2012 specialty. We would love to do so and think that there is a nearby club where it could be held. What we need is someone to come forward and offer to chair this event. If we get such an offer, we will add tracking as another event for our specialty.
